Tier choices
Why a 3-tier tuition system?
At Camp Huckins, we know the value and lasting impact a Huckins Experience can have. We strive to ensure that a Huckins summer camp experience is accessible to as many children as possible. Rather than raising rates across the board and pricing some families out of a Huckins experience, we offer a voluntary 3-tier tuition system that recognizes that families have different abilities to pay. This is an honor system and your family’s tier choice is strictly confidential. All campers receive the same incredible Huckins experience no matter which tier they choose to pay!
Tier One $2,780– This price most accurately reflects the full cost of operating and maintaining Camp. This tier helps to ensure that Huckins is available and thriving for future generations of campers.
Tier Two $2,520– Thanks to the efforts of our hard-working volunteers and donors, we are able to offer tier 2 for those families who need some assistance with the full cost of camp. This tuition tier is partially subsidized for each camper through the Huckins Fund.
Tier Three $2,030 — This tier tuition is subsidized by the Huckins Fund and endowment funds. It is designed to assist those who might otherwise be unable to attend camp. Families planning to apply for financial assistance should register at Tier 3.
**Leadership Campers(W’s and CIT’s)will pay an additional camp bank amount to cover special clothing and trips.
Connections/How did you hear about Camp Huckins
Be sure to note all connections you/your child have to Camp Huckins; Returning camper, sister of returning camper, Waitlisted, attended another program, child of alumni, Belknap, Friends attend.
2025 Application and Registration Process
The 2025 Camp Huckins registration will have two steps. Families apply on November 1st and then complete the registration, including paying the registration fee, once they have been accepted.
Step 1: Application Process Information
- Families can use the link below to create accounts and test log in information anytime between now and November 1st for a quicker application process. The detailed instructions can be found below.
- Everyone will be able to apply on November 1st 2024 starting at 8 AM.
- Applications will be accepted by the date and time submitted. We will also consider if you have previously attended or been waitlisted for Camp Huckins. No application fee is required to apply.
- If families create accounts and submit required information in advance, the application process on November 1st will be much shorter.
- ***PLEASE NOTE- The system will be down for maintenance on Wednesday October 16th from 1am-7am.
Capacity of the application system- On November 1st once the system has reached its capacity for users at one time you will receive a message saying “A lot of people are registering at this time. Please refresh your screen”. Be sure to hit refresh a few times and once a family has submitted their application another family will be let in.
Returning camper applications dated November 1st are guaranteed a spot in the same session that they attended in 2024(two weeks only). If you are only asking for two weeks and the same session, there is no need to apply at 8am, you just need to apply that first day to be guaranteed a spot.
Returning campers are not guaranteed a month and not guaranteed to be able to switch session. For the best chance for a month or switching sessions be sure to apply at 8am!
Step 2 – Register for 2025 Huckins Camp
Confirmation of your campers 2025 status will be emailed by mid-December, with instructions to complete the registration process or notification that your child has been placed on the waiting list. Completing the registration process will include accepting the spot, paying the registration fee, and choosing your billing option for tuition payments.
If you have trouble during the application process, call the office, and we will help you.
