HEALTH

Q: Do you have poison ivy and ticks?

A: There isn’t much poison ivy – there are lots of blueberries! There are some ticks, and your counselors and the nurses will talk about how to check for ticks.

Q: Is the water fluoridated?  Should I bring my fluoride supplements?

A: The water does not have fluoride. All medications and supplements need to be ordered in advance so they can be packaged. This is information about ordering supplements if you decide you want to take them at camp https://camphuckins.crackmedia.net/ordering-medication-2/

Q: What if I get my period?

A: Campers get their first ones all of the time. We have supplies and your counselors and/or nurses are ready for you!

Q: What if you lose a tooth at camp?

A: We will put it in a safe place so you can take it home with you!

Q: What do you do about Epi Pens?

A: The nurses have epi-pens if needed. If you are prescribed an epi-pen you can keep it with you in your cabin.

Q: Can you bring allergy medicine?

A: If you take allergy medicines occasionally, you can just get it from our nurses. If you take it every day, be sure you have completed your Camper Medication Order forms and ordered it from our partner pharmacy.

Q: I take a few pills so will I take them by my self?

A: Medications are dispensed by the nurses at meal time or before bed. You will go to the nurses stations and they will give you your medications to take.
