Give the Gift of Camp
Gifts to the Huckins Fund support scholarships and financial aid to program, staff training, equipment and maintenance of Camp. These unrestricted funds provide flexibility and can be used immediately. The Huckins Fund helps Camp strengthen our ability to deliver to our mission! Gifts of all sizes have an impact on camp operations and the camp experience.
At Camp Huckins, we firmly believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to benefit from the transformative power of a Huckins summer. By providing camper financial aid funded by individual donations to the Huckins Fund, we can create an inclusive environment where girls from all backgrounds can play together, building confidence while developing valuable skills.
A critical need funded by the Huckins Fund is our camper financial asistance and summer staff scholarships programs. Each year, nearly 200 families request financial assistance and we do our best to ensure cost is not a barrier to being a Huckins camper. One of the wonderful aspects of camp is that campers come from all different backgrounds, live together in cabins, and form life-long friendships. Thanks to the support of our generous Huckins community, we were able to provide nearly $400,000 in financial assistance to campers and families in 2024.
The Huckins Fund runs annually from January 1st through December 31st. Gifts and pledge payments must be received (dated and postmarked if by mail) by December 31st for inclusion in the Annual Report and annual tax credit. Carroll County YMCA/ Camp Huckins is a registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) and your gift is tax-deductible.
